4 Common Flowers And What They Symbolise1/16/2019 People give flowers to their loved ones to actualise their feelings. As we all know, feelings are abstract concepts - they cannot be seen, heard, or touched. Feelings, however, are felt on the inside, or in the state or condition of an individual, be it with them alone, or with another individual. These feelings become solidified, or represented by flowers. This gesture is practised all over the world, even in third world countries like Manila. Despite the ever worsening conditions there, and in some places all over the world, people continue to struggle, thereby showing positive attributes like in the smallest, and most random gesture of giving flowers.
There are many places in Manila where you can buy flowers that are arranged beautifully. Flower delivery is even a common thing in Manila. They even have it delivered on the same day. However, not all flowers may be appropriate for the feelings you want to convey. Just because a flower you saw is pretty, it does not mean that it coincides with the purpose of why you wanted to give flower anyway. Here are some flowers and what they mean: 1. Rose Roses might just be the most common flowers among all. It is often being conveyed in different forms of media we see. Roses symbolise love and passion. In movies, or in any other media, roses are given to someone you love. On the other hand, roses may also signify confidentiality. Each colour also has different meanings: red signifies enduring passion; white, humility and innocence; yellow, expressing friendship and joy; pink, gratitude, appreciation and admiration; orange, enthusiasm and desire; white lilac and purple roses represent enchantment and love at first sight. 2. Sunflower Sunflowers would always look pleasing and youthful to the eyes. They look bright, cheerful, and optimistic. Sunflowers mean loyalty, adoration, and longevity. Sunflowers are often being attributed to the sun. They provide energy and warmth just like the sun, itself! They bring happiness to their recipient, thus they are called happy flowers at times. 3. Daisy Daisies look very cute, pure and fragile. These flowers symbolise purity and innocence, exactly just how they look. They also mean chastity and transformation. 4. Lotus Lotus flowers look very elegant as they calmly nestle on the water. This flower is often associated with beauty and purity in some religions like Hinduism and Buddhism respectively. The lotus flower’s meanings differ per culture. It may mean eloquence. Its colours also differ in meaning. The white and pink mean purity and devotion. Loud-coloured lotuses like red, purple, and blue can take on a spiritual meaning of ascension, enlightenment, or rebirth. A green lotus flower is a beautiful gift for anyone trying to improve their life and start good habits. These are just some of the meanings of these beautiful flowers. There are many more beautiful flowers that await your recipient. Whatever flower you may want to give, the most important thing is the genuine feelings you want to convey to the person. It is also important that you convey how you feel in other types of gestures.
